Automatic reset circuit breakers for many 12 volt DC applications with plastic housings and 10-32 stud terminals. These circuit breakers are available conforms to SAE spec J553 Type I.

When a short circuit or overload occurs in a circuit, the circuit breaker opens that circuit so no further damage will result. Too much current will also open a circuit breaker's terminals, indicating there is something wrong in that circuit. The circuit breaker then remains open until the trouble is corrected.
